you can't always get what you want
Hooray, the weekend! I'm holding on to it tightly...as tight as one can to the passing of time.

It's been a productive morning: cleaned the turtle tank, did sinks and sinks of dishes, balanced checkbook. All of that and I whipped up some awesome pancakes and eggs this morning. I was determined for today to rock.

And so it shall. Even if, upon balancing my checkbook, I realized I can't go shopping. EVER. At least I paid off a bunch of debt this month. Um, yay? :| Responsibility is soooo dull.

I really need some clothes, whine whine, blah blah blah. I was planning on driving down to Ventura for some impromptu shopping at Buffalo Exchange and Kohl's (we don't have those here). But making the drive isn't really worth it for some tres frugal spending. Should I feel bad about buying a few books yesterday? Hey, a girl's gotta have her priorities.

I picked up Wizard's First Rule and I'm already digging it tremendously. WOW, so different than the series (go ahead...give me the collective "I told you so") and I'm relieved. That's right, relieved. I like the TV series (Legend of the Seeker) and I like the books. In my mind, they're almost two different stories NOT unlike every HP movie which means I can still enjoy both.

Our kitty Clyde is doing SO much better these days. No more (insert disgusting body functions here) all the time. The meds are paying off.
